Your iPhone, as a keypad
for your Mac.

SkyKeys on iPhone 13 The Builder in SkyKeys Console

Anything, anywhere

Buttons from half-size to 3×3, wheels with several jobs, shuttle wheels that keep going while you hold them turned, rollers, sliders, swipe pads, scrubbers, steppers and a trackpad, placed freely. Any action on a key, or a macro of several.

Follows your apps

Ready-made profiles for Photoshop, Premiere, Final Cut, Figma, Ableton, OBS, Zoom, Safari, Xcode, iTerm2 and more, laid out for each of your iPhones. Or build your own.

Live keys

Now Playing with album art, CPU, memory, network, battery, ping and the clock, right on the keys. A stopwatch, timers, and Caffeinate to keep the Mac awake.

Feels like a real device

A click on press and release, a deeper click when you hold, wheel detents that follow your speed. It can even out the vibration, so a tap far from the Taptic Engine feels like one right next to it.

Cable, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth

All three at once with automatic failover. Connected with a code confirmed on both screens and encrypted, so nothing else on your network can listen in or take over. Several phones at once, each with its own name; forget or block one from either side.

Lock Screen and Shortcuts

The Mac's timer and stopwatch as Live Activities on your iPhone, and Mac commands from Shortcuts, Siri and Back Tap: play, pause, timers, keep the Mac awake, lock it.

Fits every iPhone

Layouts adapt to each screen, portrait and landscape, from the iPhone 4 to the 18 Pro Max and the Duo.

  • On iOS 7 to 9, connect it to the Mac with a cable the first time: these versions of iOS can't make the pairing code. After that, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work too.
  • A new Mac needs SkyKeys Console 0.7.1 or later, because both screens confirm the code. A Mac it's already connected to keeps working with older versions.
  • Bluetooth: the first time, accept the pairing request on the Mac and on the iPhone.

Install one of the two iPhone apps per iPhone.

Get started

  1. Mac: install SkyKeys Console. It lives in your menu bar.
  2. iPhone: install SkyKeys (or SkyKeys Legacy on older iPhones) and open it. Plug in, or join the same Wi-Fi.
  3. Connect: each lists the other under Available in Devices. Press Connect on either one, check both show the same code, and Connect on the other too. From then on everything between them is encrypted.
